Spring has finally arrived and the children of SVCH are celebrating with extra outside time, playing and exploring!
The preschoolers love Handwriting Without Tears! Today we practiced making the letter “D”. The focus is not only on writing but also on developing the fine motor skills needed to be successful with writing.
Thank you to Jack Hernandez for visiting our classroom and teaching us about your job In forestry, about trees and how you help our community.
Our PreK-Kindergarten students are designing castles through collage in Mr. Cotton’s art class. They’ll be working toward 3D models!
The toddlers are excited to work with all the new materials in class! They also love playing outside - thanks for dressing them warm so that they can enjoy nature in all seasons! Our theme for March is Farm Animals!
Wiscasset firefighter, Nick Merry, came to visit us at school! We learned fire safety rules and all about the fire truck. Thank you Nick!
It’s the 100th Day of School @ SVCH!! Thank you for the variety of items to count and share. We made crowns, played counting games and we even spread some kindness to the birds!
The past few weeks in class, the children have enjoyed learning to use the Ukulele and Violin. Music engages a childs’ natural love of music and activates their imagination!
Playing outside gives your child the chance to explore the natural environment and have adventures. They can play favorite games, test their physical limits, express themselves and build self-confidence. Outdoor play can also mean more mess – and more mess often means more fun!
